An excursion to Spinalonga Island is always a remarkable experience. A place linked with Crete's modern history, offers timeless feelings to the locals even these days. Starting early in the morning, you will arrive firstly at Agios Nikolaos, having free time for exploring the city, which has been developed around its famous lake "Voulismeni".

After the relaxing time in the capital of Lassithi area, our journey continues northern, towards the small village of Plaka, where you will get on board for your short trip to Spinalonga. Life has paused in this island, since the leper colony came to an end in 1957. However, the small houses, the service buildings and the alleys are still remaining, only attached by the time. You will have the opportunity to discover the island by yourselves, in every path of it.

Then, you will return to Plaka where you have time for lunch and rest. A small village totally combined to the leper's colony community and existence.

Finally, our last visit will be in the sea-side town of Elounda. There, we make our last stop, admiring once again the Mirabello Gulf... As we return late in the afternoon in our base, you will still feel the presence of Spinalonga's history around you...
